South Florida Bass & Peacock Bass Reports 1-27-08

chicago-reno-1-08-083.jpgchicago-reno-1-08-089.jpgchicago-reno-1-08-080.jpg It’s been a great week for Peacock bass and largemouth bass for South Florida Fishing guide service. Capt. Vic Cole was out 3 times this week and reported peacock bass fishing in Miami was decent with about 15 peacocks caught. Later in the week Capt. Vic fished for bass twice in the Everglades and reported catching over 30 bass on each trip but most of these fish were under 3 lbs.  Capt. Chuck fished twice over the weekend and on Saturday boated 17 peacocks up to 2 1/2 lbs. On Sunday we were out in the Everglades also and boated over 50 bass up to 3 lbs. The bigger bass should start biting soon if these water temperatures would normalize and stay warm. We’ve had too many small cold fronts changing the water temps too frequently to have any consistency with the bigger fish bite, but it’s coming real soon !! For more information on fishing South Florida for Bass or Peacock Bass check out www.southfloridafishing.org and for the Amazon giant Peacock Bass www.amazonpeacockbassfishing.net .
