Florida Peacock Bass

Mike Smith's 4 lb. Butterfly Peacock BassHere’s some more information on how Miami Peacock Bass fishing has been lately. We’ve had a half dozen trips over the last few weeks which is slow for this time of year but we’ve boated some nice fish. Our numbers are down because of water levels and a slight fish kill over the winter. Over all the fishing is still above average and will improve over the summer while we’re still averaging about 15 to 20 fish per trip for peacocks. Here’s Mike Smith from South Africa with his nice 4 lb. butterfly he caught in the beginning of April.
