  • Luis Rojas and I were out fishing for largemouth on alligator alley and did quite well for a half-day fishing while dodging heavy rains and lightning. We managed about 22 lbs. with 5 fish with the largest weighing in at 6.5 lbs. We probably only caught 14 fish or so but most were solid 2 to 3 lb. fish and bigger. All the fish came on surface and subsurface plastic baits which are homemade by me.
  • Jonathan Johnson and his buddy Mike Taylor from Ohio were down for Peacock Bass fishing in South Florida. The guys boated 54 Peacocks over 3 days of fishing. That’s a little slow for this time of year because of all the thunderstorms we’ve been having. The fishing will stay good if the rain will hold off for awhile.
