South Florida Everglades Bass Fishing

Florida Bass Fishing in the Everglades

Everglades Bass Fishing

We had two trips this week to the Florida Everglades and boated about 200 largemouth bass up to six pounds. It’s been great fishing and soon to be the best time of the year. Our waters have warmed up and dropped bringing the bass to the canal banks which means awesome bass catching. This will only last until around July depending the rain. Everglades Bass Fishing

Florida Everglades 6 lb. Largemouth Bass

The Florida Everglades over the last few weeks has been red hot and getting better daily. Now that the fish are off the spawn and water levels have dropped the bigger females are starting to bite. Just west of Ft. Lauderdale lies the vast swamp of the Florida Everglades which in my opinion has the best largemouth bass fishing for numbers in the United States. Each trip out in late spring usually produces upwards of 100 fish depending on the skill of the angler or probably more. Next time you’re in South Florida check this great fishery and call us at (954) 445-1811 for a guided trip. Visit us at our new website at www.southfloridabassfishing.net

Everglades Bass Fishing

It’s fantastic largemouth bass fishing in the Florida Everglades over the last two months and getting better daily now that the spawn is about over. We’ve had multiple trips with fish catches at 100 bass per day! Now that the water levels are down the big female bass will be feeding well and often after spawning rituals are over. I can’t explain how much fun catching this many fish has changed my outlook on fishing since I’ve moved to South Florida. With 25 years of bass fishing experience in South Florida on Lake Okeechobee & the Florida Everglades I’m sure I can help you have a great experiencing South Florida’s great fisheries. Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing

Lake Okeechobee Bass Guide

It’s been wonderful bass fishing in the Everglades lately with over 50 bass being caught even half-day trips. We haven’t been catching very large bass but the numbers have been staggering! Last week Tim Gray and I caught about 100 fish in 6 hours of fishing all on senko style baits in the Everglades just west of Ft. Lauderdale. With each passing day the water levels are dropping and warming up which only means superb fishing catching opportunities. It’s been a little colder than usual for South Florida Peacock Bass fishing this winter in South Florida. Our numbers for trips are still decent for this type weather pattern. As the weather gets warmer so will the fishing get much better. You can expect to catch between 10 to 25 peacock bass for each fishing trip depending on frontal conditions. Live been has been the best choice and will continue to catch fish even in the worst conditions. Artificial lures will do better when the water gets hotter in the next month or so. Florida Bass Fishing Report

It’s been a great last few months of bass fishing in South Florida. The male largemouth have been feeding quite well with a few larger females to come along as well. Here’s a nice 7 lb. largemouth bass caught in the Florida Everglades back in mid January off of alligator alley just west of Ft. Lauderdale. Each trip out has produced numerous fish with full-day trip usually around 75 to 100 bass. With continued warming trends and lower water levels we’ll be expected larger females and more fish as well to bite.  Tim's nice fishFlorida peacock bass fishing this month has been good despite this being the slowest time of the year usually. We were out Friday October 29th for about 7 hours and landed 17 fish up to 4 lbs. on shiners and artificial. As the water cools the fishing will improve as the bigger males and females get ready for the spawn. Here’s Tim Gray’s nice butterfly he caught on live bait.
